Developing Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to perceive, control, and evaluate our own emotions.

This interactive workshop enables employees and managers to understand the links between emotional intelligence and personal effectiveness.  Participants will assess their own EI and identify where they will improve their interpersonal interaction.


Participants engage in multiple self-assessment tools to identify and understand emotional intelligence.  Throughout the workshop, combinations of facilitated discussion and hands-on experiential techniques are used to help participants assess their needs and assemble a personalized action plan.


Clients are able to choose between half day and full day workshops depending on the depth and specialization of their learning goals.  These workshops can be customized to accommodate a specific clients needs and goals.

Topics and issues covered in either the half or full day workshops can include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding emotional intelligence
  • Emotional intelligence and success in the workplace
  • Self-awareness skills
  • Self-management skills
  • Social awareness skills
  • Relationship management exercises
  • Creating action plans

A one-hour lunchtime seminar is also available to provide a broad overview on developing emotional intelligence.  Participants will become aware of the importance of the issues in this educational seminar.
