Writing that Works
This interactive workshop enables Employees and Managers to increase the effectiveness of e-mails and other written communication by examining sentence structure, grammar, target audience and desired intent.
Methodology:
Combinations of facilitated discussion and hands-on experiential techniques such as exercises, tip sheets and case studies are used to help participants assess their needs and assemble a personalized action plan.
Format:
Clients are able to choose between half day and full day workshops depending on the depth and specialization of their learning goals. These workshops can be customized to accommodate a specific client’s needs and goals.
Topics and issues covered in either the half or full day workshops can include but are not limited to:
- Effective communication
- Organizing your thoughts
- Knowing your audience
- Common punctuation mistakes
- Importance of tone
- E-mail etiquette
A one-hour lunchtime seminar is also available to provide a broad overview on communication and importance of effective writing.
